This is currently being discussed among the Prolog champions and PACE team. We're looking for a viable solution so that all projects can have their own topics without the topics area getting too chaotic.
This currently isn't possible due to the fact that the Submittal Package does not have a due date tied to it. The due date is tied to the submittal registers and package reviewers. There could be several due dates per submittal package (a package of 6 registers may all have different due dates).
Prolog is currently available on the iPad. Trimble does not have any plans to release additional mobile applications. To get additional connectivity on your iPad, you can use your phone as a hotspot. This will allow you to quickly upload forms while you're still walking the project site and out of WiFi range.
The new folder structure has been created to follow modern-day best practices for document control. Due to new features such as smart search, the numbering system is no longer necessary. There's also a need to keep the Box file paths short due to a limitation Windows 10 has. In short, Bluebeam will not be able to read documents when their total link path exceeds 255 characters. This has been an issue for teams even with the flatter file structure and removal of numbers.
Users can, however, add additional folders to their file structure when necessary. Keep in mind, it's important that projects follow the general filing principles outlined in Ledcor's procedures and don't stray too far from other projects. The goal is to achieve consistency so that when people are looking for documents across multiple projects, they're all in the same spot--with some exceptions for project specific files, of course.
It was originally an executive decision to have a Prolog windows time-out after 1 hour of inactivity. After evaluating user feedback, the session time has been increased to 3 hours. The PACE team still highly recommends saving as often as possible. Interruptions in internet connectivity and device freezing will still result in lost work.
This feature is not available in Prolog Converge. The PACE team has submitted a feature request to Trimble. One way to have the locational information display on Converge is to upload it as an attachment. This can be done by taking a screenshot of the pin screen and uploading it to your deficiency.
These features are not available in Prolog. The PACE team has submitted a feature request to Trimble.
It was an executive decision to have forms remain locked after a user has closed them. When teams want to open a closed form, they can contact PACE@ledcor.com and the form will be opened (sometimes instantly).
Prolog does not have this feature. The PACE team has submitted a feature request to Trimble.
Prolog does not have this capability. One way to send a form to multiple people would be to click the 'Quick Print' icon and select the email option. From there, you will be able to send that communication out to as many people as you'd like.
It is currently possible to have as many Prolog windows open as you'd like. Make sure your computer is not in tablet mode and use your browser's multiple tab feature to flip between RFIs, Submittals or any other form with ease.
Prolog doesn't allow the use of text formatting. PACE has submitted a feature request for this but it's unlikely that this will change due to the current architecture Prolog uses.
This is not an option that is currently available in Prolog but the PACE team has submitted a feature request to Trimble.
