Updated Report - Contract Summary Log (Grouped by Number) - now includes contract Planned Start and Planned Completion Dates
New Report - Request for Information (Summary Log, Author RFI Number) - includes Author RFI number.
Drawing Management
The PACE team has revised the Drawing Management guide. The new edition can be found here. It's been approximately two years since the original guide was released and since then there have been a variety of changes to the way Ledcor manages drawings. They are fairly minor, but they do attempt to increase efficiency. If you're already familiar with the drawing process and are comfortably managing drawings on your project then this guide will only be for review.
Yard Rentals
Projects can now see all the equipment they've rented from the Yard on Power BI. (Project Dashboard)
Submittal Packages (All)
There is now a 'Contractor Responsible' column in the Submittal Packages (All) List View.
Progress Bars on File Uploads
When uploading files to the files tab, users will now be able to see a loading bar that indicates how quickly the upload is progressing.
Meeting Minutes Report Update
The default meeting minutes report now includes the Status column.
Power BI - FYI
All users now have access to the Project Dashboard on Power BI. This dashboard shows key metrics for each project and pulls data from various sources. The goal of this dashboard is to take data from multiple sources and stitch together a snapshot, making it easy for the project team to get a sense of their project's trajectory. Currently, most of the data is pulled from Prolog and is updated every two hours. ImageNow data is updated each Friday unless there is a delay in the manual export of the data. (We're striving to have all items on the dashboard update within 2 hours in the future.)
Subcontractors & the Daily Work Journal
Project teams will no longer have the ability to add Subcontractors to their Daily Work Journal's Labour tab. Moving forward, the PACE team will be handling these entries: please send all requests to PACE@Ledcor.com
The JD Edwards Address Book is now integrated with Prolog
The integration between JDE's address book and Prolog is now complete. Companies created in JDE will now automatically be pushed to Prolog. An integration request will still be necessary for companies that were added to JD Edwards but not Prolog in the past.
PowerBI Dashboards
PowerBI is a reporting tool designed by Microsoft. It allows us to visually analyze the data that has been collected in Prolog. Since the start of 2017, Ledcor has been using Prolog to manage projects. Thousands of records have been entered into the system and PowerBI allows us to turn that raw data into useful information. Pype AutoSpecs
Software is available for project teams looking to automatically generate a list of submittals from their spec book. More information can be found here. Please fill out this form if you're interested in using the software.
Session time-out window increased.
When Prolog launched in 2017, the session time-out was set for 1 hour. This time has now been increased to 3 hours... meaning you can have a Prolog window open for 3 hours before it times out.
iPad Sync: speed increase.
iPad syncronization times have been significantly reduced. All projects can expect to sync in under 5 minutes when connected to high-speed internet.
Added additional dropdown items to the Mockups, Tests & Reviews form.
The Mockup form in Prolog has gone through another review by the RQM team. Additional dropdown options are now available.
Box Drive now allows folders to be marked for offline use.
After updating Box Drive, right click on a folder that you'd like to store locally and select 'Make Available Offline.' This is useful when you want your large files to load quickly or work offline. The PACE team recommends using Box Drive over Box Sync.
All contacts listed on the 'Attendees' tab of the Meeting Minutes form will receive a copy of the minutes when they're distributed.
Authors will no longer need to select 'Send Transmittal' on the 'Attendees' tab. All attendees will receive a copy of the meeting minutes.
The Notes tab on the RFI form has been changed to an editable text field.
Users can now use the 'Notes' field to draft their RFI question before locking it into the 'Questions' section. Previously, this field was also a locked field after saving.
Project specific reports have been added to the reporting section of Prolog.
Project teams often request unique reports for their projects. These reports have been added to the 'Project Specific' section of the Prolog reporting area and can be used by any project team. The reports are categorized by the project team that requested the changes.
An issue regarding automated safety notifications has been resolved.
Safety inspection items marked as 'published' were not being sent to Ledcor team members. This has been fixed and the summary emails will once again be distributed at 5:30pm PT. Note: this issue did not affect our communication with subcontractors, their safety notifications were sent out during this time.
